i have dumb moments

 i am not the brightest tool in the tool box it has to be said.
i put my swim suit the wrong way round on the maniquin... only when i got home i foud out it was too late. no wonder it didn't fit! tomorrow i will put it on the correct way!

  1. Ha! Ha! Well, I have had a few such moments myself.

    That was quick knitting. If the edges are still not clingy enough when it is on the right way, mark the spots and work a line of crochet along the edge. This will make it less elastic. The characteristics of garter stitch are reversibility, density of fabric and stretchability all of which are great except the sagging edges. This can be avoided by slipping the first stitch in the row purl-wise with the yarn in front without actually working it. Then move the yarn back and knit as usual.

  2. Better still, take some yarn and a crochet hook with you so you can fix it on the spot.
