manifesto

This collection is focused on the knotting and twisting of knitted structure fabric such as wool and jersey for A/W12. The reason for this area of research is because I feel that drape has become too watered down and too controlled within the fashion industry. We rely on conventional tailoring and pattern cutting too heavily. As humans we are organic so why can’t the clothes we wear be organic too?  The colour scheme is an eclectic mix of citrus accent with hints of battleship grey and black. This collection is to be sold in high end and will be sold in boutiques such as Dover Street Market, Selfridges, Liberty, Harvey Nichols, Joseph. My competitors are the likes of Yamamoto, Limi Feu, Comme des Garcons and Michael Van Der Ham. The type of woman who would wear this collection is confident appreciates conceptual design as well as having a quirky chic sense of style.
